Bologna has just under 400,000 inhabitants and is visited by 1.5 million guests every year, with around 3.0 million overnight stays registered between January and December. You can feel this at

the train station, on the buses, in the narrow streets, and in the restaurants in the evening. Nevertheless, there are also quiet times in the middle of the old town, in the center of Bologna.
