As a result of the climate crisis, in 2019 I decided to change how I travel. I will show my work in the future in places
where I can reduce my climate footprint substantially. That means less air travel. I think it is worthwhile because I know I am not alone.

On Silence
“The faster the pace of change and the more godlike powers we humans develop, the more everything old and slow matters more than ever,” writes Thomas L. Friedman, opinion columnist for The New York Times. This point of view includes silence, and silence is a deep need that has become a luxury. I know that I am not alone in this opinion.
I search for quiet moments and capture them with an analog camera. In my work, I concentrate on light and shadow, exclude colors, and combine two or three elements. These pictures—with their simple structures and absence of color—are what I like to call ‘silent pictures’. They are a visual representation of the tranquility and peace that silence brings.
